Infotainment and Safety Technology
Volkswagen's App-Connect infotainment system makes it easy to stay connected, enjoy your favorite music and podcasts, find the best route to your destination, and more via a 6.5-inch touchscreen on base models or a larger 8-inch display on all other tiers. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto seamlessly integrate your smartphone, providing access to features like your contacts, streaming media, Google and Apple Maps, weather, and traffic info. All Taos models equip the Volkswagen Digital Cockpit system, allowing you to keep an eye on things like driving metrics, driver-assist status, and phone information while remaining attentive to the road. Taos S and SE feature an 8-inch digital gauge cluster with two viewing models and configurable widgets, while SEL models upgrade to the fully customizable 10.25-inch VW Digital Cockpit Pro.
While staying alert behind the wheel is always the best way to ensure safe travels, having a little backup is always nice. The VW Taos offers a comprehensive roster of advanced safety and driver-assist technologies to support your attentive driving, help better detect and avoid potential hazards, and even mitigate driving fatigue.
New for 2023, the VW Taos comes standard with Front Assist (Forward Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Monitoring), Blind Spot Monitor, and Rear Traffic Alert. Available for Taos s and standard for SE and SEL, the IQ.DRIVE equips additional driver aids and a few extra niceties, including:
